Kukatja, Pintupi and English
In the early stages of Miriam’s artistic career she explored the expression of her dreaming through the medium of glass. She later went on to develop a painting career after being granted permission by the elders to paint her uncle’s Tjukurrpa (dreaming), Wimmitji Tjapangarti. Miriam is a talented emerging artist: her paintings are infused with the powerful spirituality taught to her by Wimmitji when she was a little girl. She is a vibrant, traditional woman and the strength of her artistic merits and commitment to the cultural learnings are imbued in every painting.
