Biography
Theresa comes from a strong painting family: her father is Brandy Tjungurrayi and her aunt and uncles are Elizabeth Nyumi, Patrick Olodoodi and Helicopter Tjungurrayi. Theresa paints her father’s country which is located around Jupiter Well which was a traditional water hole in the region of Kiwirrkurra Community in the Northern Territory. Theresa began painting in 2001 and in recent years has developed a distinct painting style of layers of fine dots. Her career has recently taken on a rapid development attracting interest from major galleries and collectors both nationally and internationally.
