Tjangala comes from a strong painting family, including his two brothers who also paint. Traditionally, the Njamme family lived in Yagga Yagga, a small community not too far from Wirrimanu (Balgo). However, due to unforeseen circumstances the inhabitants left this town and moved to Wirrimanu. Similar to his brothers, he always painted with precision and in definiative bright desert hues.
