Size/Medium : 457 x 305mm: acrylic on canvas Painting

Lena has painted a story passed to her by her mother Monica Whisputt (dec).

The story is about Munduru rockhole where four people were camping. The rockhole is depicted by the blue circle in the centre of the painting. The people are shown by the black footprints. One of the people is from Munga Munga, another is from Nyininangu and the one at the bottom of the painting is from Munduru. The person from Munduru shared out the bushtucker with the others. The oval shapes are coolamons for carrying bush foods . These four people who camped here made coolamons. These coolamons are seen in the country in the form of large stones of the same shape. There is bushtucker and wildflowers throughout this country including bush tomato and bush gooseberry.
