Ngartitjirri is the name of the ancestral budgerigar that lives on some of Maudie’s traditional country, east of Balgo in the Tanami Desert. The X shapes are the tracks of Ngartitjirri, while the circle shapes are a particular type of eucalyptus tree, the seeds of which attract the Ngartitjirri.
