Dulcie has painted Karlyapilyirra a site close to Pipaar, south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert. The orange colours represent different mangarri (bush tucker); like pirriwarr (wattle) and kumpupatja (bush tomato). The purple and red colourig represents the tali, the sandhills and desert sands. The white dots represent the salt lakes of the area.

Dulcie says “You can see it when you’re flyng from above… you can see the colours and the country.”
