Cindy has split this painting to tell two stories of her grandmother’s country.

In the first,Cindy has painted some of her Grandmother’s country, near Yagga Yagga. This painting is a painting Cindy’s grandmaother (Nellie Njamme, dec.) used to paint of her  grandmother’s story and country. The circle represents a rockhole where water can be found and the lines are the creeks that run between the rockholes and the tali (sandhills).

In the second painting, Cindy has painted Nakarra Nakarra, south of Balgo near old Yagga Yagga community.  Cindy has painted all of the mangarri (bush tucker) found in the country including tjunta (onion) and karnti (potato). This country is good hunting for goanna, snake and blue tongue lizard.This is one of the sites of the Seven Sister’s tjukurrpa (dreaming).
