Kaningarra is Susie’s traditional country located west of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert, along the top of the Canning Stock Route. This is the country in which Susie hunted and lived in as a young woman with her family. This print shows an abundance of trees along with tjunda, or bush onion and tjirrilpatja, or bush carrot, which are found on the grassy plains between the hills of the area.
