Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm

By appointment on weekends. It is advisable to contact the Art Centre in advance to arrange your visit and ensure the Art Centre is not closed due to community events.

The Art Centre is closed during the Wet season, from the end of November to the beginning of February.

permits

Day visitors are welcome to visit the Art Centre and the community store without a permit. Permits are required to stay overnight and accommodation is very limited, please contact the Art Centre for more information.

Visitors are asked to respect the privacy of the community and keep to the main road to the Art Centre and Wirrimanu community store that sells basic items and fuel.

driving

Before driving, check the road conditions on the N.T. and W.A. websites. 4WD recommended.

Balgo is 37km off the Tanami Track:
– Alice Springs to Balgo 846km (9-10hrs)*
– Halls Creek to Balgo 290km (3hrs)

*You may need to carry extra fuel as there is no fuel available between Yuendumu and Balgo (approximately 550km). OPAL and diesel fuel is available in Balgo.
