This work is part of a collection of glass art created at Warlayirti Artists. The first glass workshop was held in 2001 and quickly captivated both artists and customers. Since then, several workshops have taken place, allowing artists to explore new stories and techniques through this unique medium.
In 2019, Warlayirti’s glass works were featured in the major exhibition Desert River Sea: Portraits of the Kimberley at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
This work is part of a collection of glass art recently rediscovered at Warlayirti Artists. While some pieces have been easily attributed, others have not allowed us to identify the artist or the story behind their creation.
