Dulcie has painted Karlyapilyirra a lake close to Pipaar, south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert.
The white dotwork and linework indicates the salt from the lake, surrounded by sandhills (orange and purple loose brushwork) that shift with the seasons. The larger white dots reprersent sacred rocks that surround the site, which have a strong tjukurrpa story. Here, Duclie tells of her country, its heritage and its life giving gifts
