Ann has depicted her mother’s country Natawalu, Well 37 on the Canning Stock Route in the Great Sandy Desert. The central circle represents the rock hole Natawalu. The white lines represent the sandhills which dominate the landscape. The yellow circles represent bush tomato, the red and orange represent karnti (bush potato) which Ann’s mother would walk between these places collecting seeds and gathering bush tucker with her family. Ann is the daughter of Brandy Tjungurrayi.
