Eva created this etching during a print workshop at the Grama Festival held in Arnhem Land in 2000.
She represented her Grand mother’s and mother’s country Urrudurrdu situates in the south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert.
The wavy fine lines depict the Tali (sand hills) and the circular shapes the Tjurnu (water holes) all around the country.
It is also the Dreaming dog country where Eva’s grandmother Nungurrayi used to travel with her dogs looking for water. But nowadays those water points are cover by Tali, which move all the time. It is very important for Eva to remember where the water is so she can find it when she goes to visit her country.
