This Tjukurrpa (Dreaming) belongs to Nampitjinpa (Grandmother), Tjampitjinpa (Grandfather), Nangala (Mother) and Tjangala (Father). After the rain when the ant puts get wet, the flying ants are ready to pop out and fly around. At night time and in the light you can see them flying all around. When they lose their wings that is when they become ants. This Tjukurrpa comes from north of Nyirripi in country called Warntungurru.
Maria says she was taught by her Grandfather and Grandmother to do dot painting and when she was young she used to watch them.
