Dulcie has painted Karlyapilyirra a site close to Pipaar, south of Balgo in the Great Sandy Desert. Central to the artwork is the necessity of life in the desert – the waterhole. The swirls indicate the saltpans and the clay pans, surrounded by sandhills, which shift in colour with the seasons. Dulcie tells of her country, its heritage and its life giving gifts.
