Marianne has depicted some of her grandmother’s country. This country is known as Laka and is located south of Yagga Yagga community in the Great Sandy Desert. The majority of the painting depicts the variety of bush fruits that are found here, the circles as well as the yellow dots are kumpupatja or bush tomato and the black dots are mungil seeds. Marianne is the daughter of Warlayirti artist Rosie Nanyuma (dec).
